Ideas for Tailor Made Groups

Wine & Culture Group

For a group of four couples who had a particular interest in wine but also in exploring some of the history of the area we arranged an 8 night trip

The group spent 5 nights in the Cote du Rhone area of the Dentelles where they enjoyed three wine tours with a private guide, a provencal cooking class and a guide walking tour of fascinating Vaison la Romaine. For the next three nights of the trip the group transferred to the lovely old city of Avignon from where we arranged day excursions to charming St. Remy, historical Nimes and included some free time to explore Avignon itself.

A great combination of Wine & Culture

Sunshine Lavender Farm Group

Our client, a lavender farmer in North Carolina has brought a group to Provence on two occasions now. Her requirement was for a trip which explored ‘off the beaten path’ Provence with plenty of time for lavender experiences but also to have an understanding of how people live and work in this lovely part of southern France.

From their base in the Luberon area, over a 9 day period the group has visited two different lavender growing areas and enjoyed the best of the local markets and charming perched villages of the area. A visit to an olive oil mill with tastings, wine tasting lunches and dinner at a herb farm gave the group a real insight into the life of the area and the best of its produce. And a visit to a local market to choose their own ingredients for a cooking class with a local chef was one of the definite highlights of the trip.

The next trip is already in the planning stages and will include visits to local gardens, a goats cheese farm, guided visits to the charming old village of Eygalieres and the Van Gogh walking trail around St. Remy – and of course the infamous cooking class.

With the wide choice of options for travel to France from the UK, especially with the convenience and value of low cost flights, we have found that our clients prefer to make their own arrangements according to the type of holiday and region from which they are travelling.  This also suits our clients who are travelling to France from outside the UK and are often combining a visit to Provence with a trip to other parts of Europe. Wherever you are travelling from we will of course be delighted to give you all the advice and help you need in making your travel arrangements.
