When to go?

If you are planning a touring holiday or enjoy walking and visiting historic sites we suggest you avoid the summer heat of July and August and choose instead to plan your visit for the warm months of Spring , early Summer and Autumn when the climate is ideal for exploring. The lavender fields are at their best during late June and July so to catch that heady scent and purple views this should be your time to visit. The lovely old cities of the region are great at any time of

year with art galleries, shops and restaurants open all year round. And of course if you simply want to be 'at home' in Provence in your own cottage or villa, all months from March to November offer different pleasures according to the season - from a lunch of early season asparagus and strawberries on sale in the markets in Spring, to lazy days by the pool in the Summer and new season wine tastings in the Autumn.
